Ezra Uzi Yemin has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of our general partner since April 2012 and as president of our general partner since August 2019. Mr. Yemin has served as Chief Executive Officer of Delek since June 2004 and as President and a director of Delek since April 2001. He was appointed to be the chairman of the board of directors of Delek in December 2012 and has also served at the chairman of the board of directors of Alon USA Energy, Inc. (NYSE: ALJ) since May 2015. Mr. Yemin also served as Delek's treasurer from April 2001 to November 2003 and as Delek's secretary from May 2001 to August 2005. The Board believes that, because he has worked for Delek since its founding, Mr. Yemin brings to the Board a thorough and complete understanding of our business, operations and operating environment, as well as that of Delek (the owner of approximately 62.7% of our units and the customer on whom the Partnership is most dependent). Mr. Yemin also brings to the Board substantial leadership, planning and industry experience.
Mr. Spiegel has served as our Chief Financial Officer since May 2020, and as a member of the Board of our general partner since July 2014, as a member of the Audit Committee and Conflicts Committee since September 2014 and as a member of the EHS Committee since its inception in October 2016. Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Spiegel served as Chief Executive Officer of Israel Discount Bank Ltd. (TASE: DSCT) from 2011 through 2014 where he had previously held the position of Executive Vice President from 2001 through 2005. Mr. Spiegel also served as Chief Executive Officer of IDB Bank of NY from 2006 to 2010. He also has experience as an executive in the real estate industry.
Avigal Soreq has been an Executive Vice President of our general partner since October 2015, an Executive Vice President of Delek since August 2015 and a Vice President of our general partner and Delek since December 2012. He has also served as a member of the board of directors of Alon USA Energy, Inc. (NYSE: ALJ) since May 2015. Prior to joining Delek US Holdings, Inc. in October 2011, Mr. Soreq worked in business development for SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR). Prior to joining SunPower Corporation., Mr. Soreq worked as a senior finance and business consultant for Trabelsy & Co and as a consultant in the corporate finance department for KPMG’s Tel-Aviv office. Mr. Soreq served in the Israeli Air Force in various roles between 1996 and 2004 and reached the rank of Major. Mr. Soreq is certified as a certified public accountant in Israel.
Ms. Yates was General Counsel, Chief Compliance Counsel and SVP, HR of EthosEnergy, a joint venture between Siemens and Wood Group, for 6 years. Prior to this, Ms. Yates spent 10-years working within Wood Group, first as Senior Litigation Counsel and then as Divisional Counsel to the gas turbine services division. She began her career with Morgan Lewis in Philadelphia and worked for Bracewell LLP and Schlumberger in Houston. Ms. Yates received her law degree from Temple Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1993.
Frederec Green has served as our Executive Vice President since May 2009 and as the primary operational officer for our refining operations since joining us in January 2005. Mr. Green has also served as a member of the board of directors and an executive vice president of Delek Logistics GP, LLC since April 2012. Mr. Green has more than 25 years of experience in the refining industry including fourteen years at Murphy Oil USA, Inc. where he served as a senior vice president during his last six years. Mr. Green has experience ranging from crude oil and feedstock supply, through all aspects of managing a refining business to product trading, transportation and sales.
Jared Paul Serff has served as an Executive Vice President since May 2017 and a Vice President since July 2015. He has also been an executive vice president of Delek Logistics GP, LLC since May 2017 and a vice president of Delek Logistics GP, LLC since July 2015. Prior to joining us, Mr. Serff was the chief human resources officer of Itron, Inc. (NASDQ: ITRI) from July 2004 to February 2014. Itron is a publicly-traded technology company offering products and services in energy and water resource management. Mr. Serff’s responsibilities at Itron included overseeing the global human resources function supporting approximately 10,000 employees operating in 60 countries around the world.
